Where martial arts grow beyond your own mat
Regular training shapes you slowly and reliably. A seminar works differently. It breaks the routine, brings new training partners together and lets you work on a single topic for several hours. Many students report that they understood more on a single seminar day than in the weeks before, because suddenly there is time to really get to the bottom of a technique.
That is exactly why seminars are a fixed part of the year at Mahamid Martial Arts rather than an occasional extra. Beginners and advanced students come together here, students from different schools meet, and it becomes clear how solid what they have learned really is. Anyone who takes part in a seminar almost always comes back with something that would not have emerged in regular classes.
What to expect at our seminars
Unlike weekly classes, a seminar focuses on one clearly defined topic. This might be the wooden dummy in Wing Chun, ground fighting, working with double knives and long staff in Escrima, or a focus on realistic self-defence. The longer time frame makes it possible to go deeper, answer questions in detail and repeat movements until they stick.
Upcoming events
Here you will find all upcoming seminars and events. Places are limited because personal attention matters more to us than a full hall. We therefore recommend that you register early.

International seminars and review
Sifu Hassan Mahamid’s martial arts do not end at the Offenbach city limits. In summer 2019 he taught in Djerba, Tunisia, together with Sihing Salim Dighim. First at the International Intensive Summer Camp from 29 to 30 June, then from 2 to 10 July in various gyms across the country. For over a week, people trained together who had never met before and some of whom did not even speak the same language.
Trips like these change a teacher. Anyone standing in front of a group with different backgrounds and prior knowledge has to be able to explain without relying on familiar routines. Sifu Hassan brings this experience back to every session in Offenbach. It is one of the reasons why nobody slips through the cracks with us, neither the athletic teenager nor the adult starting again after a twenty-year break.
For you as a student, this means two things. Firstly, you learn from someone whose skills are in demand beyond his own club. Secondly, you become part of a network that reaches beyond Offenbach. If you like, you can take part in joint seminars and meet martial artists from other cities and countries.
